Float/Fall 1.3

Float/Fall combines location based augmented reality with a persistent alteration of the users space. When looking through the app, you will see your world altered as you rotate through both floating and falling. When on the grounds of Arlington Arts Center in Arlington, VA, look up to see a geolocated recreation of the video installation (of the same name) presented on June 24.

Float/Fall is a part of Arlington Arts Center’s INTERDISCIPLINARIUM, which is an exploration of how art intertwines with other fields of study, such as dance, science, and literature. Artists included explore the ways in which contemporary art and these other disciplines influence each other and create a unique dialogue. Brian Davis’ work connects art with technology, and highlights the ways these fields intersect and engage with one another.
