MassBook Trails 1.1

MassBook Trails is a travel and tourism app that provides local walking tours and statewide trails which make the literary culture and history of Massachusetts come alive. Photos, links, and maps, often augmented with audio or video, provide lively and engaging details about creative life in the Commonwealth, past and present. Stroll through literary Beacon Hill and other book-centric neighborhoods, visit the homes of Louisa May Alcott, Herman Melville, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Edith Wharton, and many others. Learn about Phillis Wheatley, Lucy Terry Prince, and other early African American writers. Take in the lively exhibits of the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art or the Museum of Printing. Wherever you travel with this app, you will discover the deep and extensive culture of books and reading, literacy and libraries in a Commonwealth which includes, in its Constitution, a provision "to cherish the interests of literature."
