In Rolling Planet, you control a little ball to explore the huge cylinder planet. Your goal is to avoid obstacles, collect coins, and survive for as long as possible.
The score is calculated based on the distance you have traveled and the game ends instantly when you hit a wall without protection. The coins collected in the run are also counted to the final score for 10 points each.
Rolling Planet belongs to the genre endless runner game. The level is randomly generated and you can play the game forever as long as you are good enough. The model of the planet that you roll on is actually not endless, so if you are a skilled player and reach the end of the planet, you will hear a rewinding sound you will be teleported back to the start. There will be a small lag because the game has to regenerate the level.
The only control you have is tilting your phone. The ball rolls forward on its own and it rolls faster and faster as time goes on.
Along the way, power-ups are randomly spawned. There are currently three different power-ups:
-Star gives you invincibility for 10 seconds. When activated, you will go through the wall upon contact and nothing will happen. Activating another star while already invincible will refresh instead of stacking the timer.
-Shield equips you a shield that will give you an extra life. There is no timer on the shield and you lose it when you hit the wall and break the shield. You may only equip one shield at a time.
-Sandglass slows down your speed and makes the game easier. It slows the ball to 70% of the current speed.
Coins & Shop
You may purchase balls and unlock planets in the shop. They are just visual and sound effects and have no impact on the gameplay.
Tapping on the coin icon in the main menu will take you to a Player Stats page. In there you will see some lifetime stats of you playing the game.
