"8 Second Sprints" is the fastest way to lose fat, get fit and tone up without changing your diet. This fitness workout consists of 8 second sprints, followed by 12 seconds of rest for a total of 20 minutes.

Published in the world's largest sports medicine and exercise science journal ACSM, this simple exercise program is based on research by the Medical Faculty of the University of NSW.

Their research found doing this high-intensity interval training (HIIT) for 20 minutes, three times a week for 15 weeks, resulted in more fat loss than other forms of exercise. Participants of their "LifeSprints" exercise did not change their diet and were shown to have also achieved big increases in aerobic fitness. It is a new way to shortcut your weight loss to just 1 hour per week instead of 7 hours of jogging for a similar result.

For beginners, start with sprinting for no more than 5 minutes and slowly build to 20 minutes over a few weeks. Our users have used a treadmill, bike, rowing machine, or simply run outside to do their "8 Second Sprints."
