The system is designed for organising golf competitions played in various formats and for collecting and presenting results of the competitions.
The system contains the following programs:
1. BQGolf – main program (desktop/laptop)
2. BQGolf Viewer – competition result viewer (desktop/laptop)
3. BQGolf Players – create/modify player databases (desktop/laptop)
4. BQGolf MViewer – competition result viewer (mobile devices) - this application
5. BQGolf Scorecard – electronic score card (mobile devices)
6. BQGolf MViewer Admin – competition result viewer and editor designed for system administrator (mobile devices).
BQGolf Viewer presents results of club golf competitions in real time (currently match plays only).
If during the competition the players use electronic scorecards (BQGolf Scorecard) then hole results entered by the players are automatically transmitted to the main program (BQGolf) and then distributed to all mobile, laptop and desktop devices using BQGolf Viewer. The progress of the match can be watched on mobile and desktop devices in real time.
If electronic scorecards are not used then after a round the administrator (pro) enters scores or match results on his console using the main program (BQGolf).
The match play diagram is updated automatically and uploaded to a cloud. All mobile devices using this application download the new results (including the diagram) and display them on the designed pages.
A player can make a phone call, send a text message or an e-mail to other players directly from the application.
When the application is in background it check periodically (at user defined time interval) for competition updates and when available downloads them and sends a notification to the user.
When notification is pressed the appropriate competition is loaded and the selected mach result is shown.
The number of competitions is unlimited.
Competition data is stored in a cloud (GoogleDrive or OneDrive) which can be configured by the system administrator. The log-in info and cloud settings can be distributed among the users using NFC technology or by scanning programmatically generated QR codes.
