LightCode is baesd on Optical camera communication, which exploits low-cost and efficient LEDs and offers dual function of data communication and lighting simultaneously. Given that lighting is one of the essentials of consumer applications, optical camera communication enables interactions between viewers and displays through imperceptible optical markers.
LightCode benefits exhibits from three perspectives: a) the lights shed on the displays coincide with viewers’ line of sight; b) the LED keeps its original function as it can be modulated to a higher flashing frequency than human eye sensitivity; c) lighting is one of the essentials of exhibits, and thus takes no extra space.
