VIU Safety 2.0

VIU Safety is the official safety app of Vancouver Island University. It is the only app that integrates with VIU's safety and security systems. The VIU the Facilities and Ancillary Service department has worked to develop a unique app that provides students, faculty and staff with added safety on the VIU campus.  The app will send you important safety alerts and provide instant access to campus safety resources.

VIU Safety features include:
 
- Emergency Contacts: Contact the correct services for the VIU area in case of an emergency or a non-emergency concern.

- Emergency Procedures: Instant access to VIU emergency procedures to ensure you are prepared in case of emergency.

-Safe Walk – Request a Safe Walk from VIU security, or use the Friend Walk feature to have a friend monitor your walk home.

- Tip Reporting: Multiple ways to report a safety/security concern directly to VIU security.

- Safety Notifications: Receive instant notifications and instructions from campus safety when on-campus emergencies occur.

- Campus Maps: Find your way around the VIU area.

- Campus safety resources: access all important safety resources in one convenient app.
