Arthur Henrique Ramos de Oliveira Melo, better known as Arthur, born August 12, 1996 in Goiânia (Brazil), is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder with FC Barcelona.
His style of play, very technical, reminiscent of the former Barcelona Xavi player.
Arthur begins playing with the club of his hometown, Goiás Esporte Clube, at the age of twelve. In 2010, he is spotted by Grêmio who recruits him.
In January 2015, following his performances at the São Paulo Júnior Cup, Arthur was promoted to the first team by coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
In 2017, Arthur becomes a regular of the initial eleven of Grêmio. In his first Copa Libertadores match against Club Guaraní, he is named "Man of the match". He won the Copa Libertadores in 2017, beating CA Lanus' Argentinian team in the final.
On March 11, 2018, FC Barcelona announces the arrival of Arthur for July 2018. The amount of the transfer amounts to 30 M €, plus 9 in variables.
On July 28, 2018, he scored his first goal with FC Barcelona in his first game with the Blaugranas against Tottenham Hotspur in the International Champions Cup.
