BMW short circuit reset 1.0

BMW cars are equipped with light control modules that will switch off an output in case of short circuit. The shorted-out output will remain off even if the problem in wiring/lamp is repaired.
This app allows you to save money by doing short circuit reset yourself using a simple elm327 Bluetooth adapter (available for sale separately from the app, the price on ebay starts from $3).

Currently it supports FRM1 light control modules in 1 and 3 series BMW cars made between ca 2004 and 2008. We are testing other models and will add them soon.

Example fault codes found in light control module:
9CBB short circuit fault 2
9CBC short circuit fault 1


To be sure if this app will do the job, please check your OBD2 connection in the car as shown in picture.


Please note- no Wi-Fi support for ELM327 adapters, Bluetooth only.

App will ask for location permission, this needs to be done for Bluetooth communication between phone and elm327 dongle.
