DIY Dawg lets you quickly & easily find your favourite BrewDog craft beer recipe so you can see exactly which ingredients you need and the steps you need to take to recreate it! Brilliant I know. It gets better, once you’ve found it, export it to BeerXML format, speechless, right?
You may or may not be aware that last year the nutters over at BrewDog decided for reasons completely unknown to me *cough* MARKETING (probably) *cough* to release FOR FREE, COMPLETELY FREE, an awesome PDF called DIY Dog with a whopping 262 recipes. :o
If you are into Home Brewing or even if you’re not (WHY NOT?) and are just interested in how the heck they are making all these great beers then this PDF, nay this BREWING BIBLE sent from the Brew Gods themselves is very VERY handy indeed!
My brother and I have brewed a couple of these recipes and they’ve turned fantastic, and for that we thank you Brew Dog, the problem we find is that it’s a right P.I.T.A. browsing through the huuuuge DIY Dog PDF (seriously it’s massive, around 100mb, 286 pages…) trying to decide which recipe to cook up in our highly-sophisticated state of the art Mirco Brewery (aka. brothers garage), all this head scratching takes up quite a chunk of valuable time, time that we could be using to actually brew our beer\drink our beer or spend time with the family, that probably should have been first on the list, right?

First 14 Pages of Diy Dog PDF under the “HomeBrewing 101” menu, these contain information about brewing Methods etc.

The recipes are scaled down to manageable 20Litre batches, perfect for the average Home Brewer. And include the exact Malts\Hops\Yeasts\Other along with the Amounts\Weights AND the actual METHOD to brew it! Not only that, it also includes ideal Food Pairings for each one.


This is my first Android app so constructive criticism, style improvements & features requests or just any general suggestions\comments are all welcome!
I’d like to expand the list & this app beyond just Brew Dog recipes at some point, so if anyone knows of any other free recipe lists from any other craft breweries\mirco breweries, or any particularly tasty brews that must be shared with the world let me know! Cheers.
