Leona Louise Lewis (conceived 3 April 1985) is a British vocalist, musician and creature welfare campaigner. She was brought up in the London Borough of Islington, London, where she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis accomplished national acknowledgment when she won the third arrangement of The X Factor in 2006, winning a £1 million recording contract with Simon Cowell's record name, Syco Music.
