Star Home Call, a new HKT mobile app with starred features designed to enhance fixed-line service.
Main features:
1. Home Junk Call Blocking (for designated HKT residential telephone line and eye service customers):
- The app’s Home Junk Call Blocking function will help to automatically prevent junk calls from disturbing you.
- A junk call database from third-party service provider Call Defender is periodically refreshed to help you from receiving junk calls.
2. Home Link (for designated HKT residential telephone line and eye service customers who have upgraded to our Pro Version):
- Each HKT residential telephone line number or eye service number can be linked to one Star Home Call app user, enabling the user to pick up home calls when away from home.
- Even when abroad, you can use your home phone number to dial any Hong Kong number via the app using Wi-Fi or mobile data, without extra charge.
3. High-quality Video Calling
- This high-speed function boasts resolution of up to 720p, plus high-grade voice quality, and is ideal for long-distance conversations.
- Consists of Call Recording feature and supports voice recording for both voice and video calls.
4. eFax
- Simply snap a photo using your phone’s camera and the system will automatically adjust the file and help you send an eFax.
