The Yajurveda derived from Yajus means “Sacrificial Formula” and Veda means “Knowledge”. It is the collection of sacrificial prayers used by the Adhvaryu priest. Yajurveda has two major divisions : Black (Krishna) Yajurveda and White (Shukla) Yajurveda. It is an ancient Vedic Sanskrit text.
