Now we have a solution for this called an ‘AttendanceGuide’. It is a reliable application which helps in maintaining the records that are related to marking the attendance. 

Basically this application can mark attendance in three forms that is present , absent or leave. It has some additional features that is you have access to edit any students details; moreover update and modify the records. It means you can delete as well as add student details as per requisite. 
Different views of the attendance are also possible say for example view by date, view by student name and view by the subject name. A special feature of sending email is also present in this application.
