What are CVC words? CVC words are words that follow the pattern consonant-vowel-consonant. They are the simplest words and the starting point of many phonics programs (after studying letter sounds). These words highlight the short vowels such as the a in cat, the e in bed, the I in fin, the o in top, and the u in sub.

By having your child build CVC words, this game helps teach them to identify over 100 CVC words they commonly use in the classroom.

They can play in two modes:

Practice Mode - This mode is great for a child just beginning to learn CVC words. They can select which level they would like to practice and if they pick the wrong answer it will give them an opportunity to find the correct answer.

Play Mode - This mode challenges your child by earning points for each correct answer. If they make 3 mistakes they have to start the level over. Complete all 5 levels to win.
