The Certified Nutrition Support Clinician ® (CNSC®) certification can provide job mobility, open up job opportunities, and, in some cases, lead to promotion and monetary gain. It is offered by the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification (NBNSC).
The Certification Examination for Nutrition Support Clinicians is administered during an established two-week testing period, at computer-based testing facilities managed by PSI. PSI has several hundred testing sites in the United States as well as Canada.
The Certification Examination for Nutrition Support Clinicians will be weighted in approximately the following manner:
- nutrition assessment
- therapeutic plan of care
- initiation, monitoring, and clinical management
- management of nutrition support outcomes
- professional practice
