The frequency of non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancer has been increasing in recent decades. This could change if you take the necessary steps to avoid sun exposure.

The Portuguese Cancer League (Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro - LPCC) is a private non-profit non-governmental organization, declared by law of public utility (relevant social aim), founded in April 1941.

We rely on more than 30,000 dedicated volunteers from all over the country to help with our fundraising activities, support patients and fulfill our mission:

- Support cancer patient and his family
- Primary Prevention
- Secondary Prevention
- Research and training in oncology.
