Desired heading may be entered by slewing the compass card using the simulated heading knob, by directly entering the heading or automatically by reference to magnetic north.

Desired inbound track of the holding pattern may be entered by slewing using the simulated course knob or directly by entering the inbound track.

Entry procedure may calculated for right and left turn holding patterns.
