Little Hands - Masimamele! 1.0

Masimamele! is part of the multilingual 'Little Hands’ book series which entices young children to explore storybooks. These physical books are being converted into digital books and Masimamele! is the first of these. It is available now in both isiXhosa and English, to provide informal and enjoyable early reading opportunities in both first and additional languages. 

This is a beautifully crafted mobile application, which offers a layer of interaction with technology to young children who are increasingly growing up in a digital world. You and your children will enjoy playing with the app and discovering its interactive features in the Read-to-me or Record-my-own-voice mode.

Little Hands books were originated by PRAESA in 2002. A set of 16 titles were published with New Africa Books in 23 African languages as part of the Stories Across Africa Project in 2006 to support early reading in African languages as well as English, French, and Portuguese.
