Use the old boy scout method and turn your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch into a sun compass. Just point the sun symbol to the sun and the compass rose points north. You can add a target angle to easily follow the direction you want.

The Watch App

By running Sun Compass on your Apple Watch you have the compass always on hand without taking out your phone. You can choose the direction of the compass rose by tapping.
For a quick direction you can use the glance view.
